2 best sports bet WEDNESDAY!

Tonights best betting is tough, as usual on wednesdays but I do think there is a good bet in overnight Major League Baseball between the LA Angels(1.90) and Seattle Mariners(1.97). And also in the ATP US OPEN in the match between Alex Bogomolov and Steve Johnson.

Firstly in MLB,

The Mariners will be the home side, but that didn't mean a thing today when the Angels won 13-6. I think we will see a similar performance come from the Angels tomorrow, lower scoring, but same result.

The Angels have a total 73-62 record this season and 35(48%)  of their wins are on the road, so their perfomances are usually similar no matter where they play. This is an advantage against the Mariners who have an overall 57-77 game record with a 33-36 record at their home park.
Of the 4 teams in the American League Western Conference, LA sit 2nd and Seattle sit in Last.
This one will be close, but with the Angels at $1.90 its worth having a bet on a much better side.

Best Bet: LA ANGELS @ 1.90 sportingbet, 1.85 centrebet

As for the tennis,

Alex Bogomolov shouldnt see any difficulty breezing past his fellow American.
Alex Bogomolov  is currently ranked #44 in the world, while Steve Johnson is currently #525.

Bogomolov is a strong hardcourter with a good serve. He is 17-9 on hardcourt and reached the last16 in Cincinnati, where he manged to beat Verdasco with 2:0 the round before. He also had some solid matches in Montreal, making it to the last 32 but then losing to Monfils.
The reason Johnson is playing is that he was entered as a wildcard. He is 2-6 on hardcourt and lost for example cleary against Roger-Vasselin with 0:2 ( 1:6 2:6) earlier on.

BEST BET: Bogomolov to win in straight sets(3-0) @ 1.72 on centrebet.

Reccomend a multi at low stakes.

BEST BET TUESDAY!

The best bet I can reccomend today is in the WNBA.

I bet on women's basketball quite a lot, not so much on teams but overall match scores.
Rarely game scores are very high and average around 145-150 points total. Out of the 6 games being played tomorrow, one game, Pheonix Mercury against the Tulsa Shock has the match score line at under or over 174.5.

This season of the WNBA is almost over so the scoring averages are accurate:

Tulsa Shock average points per game: 68.3

Pheonix Mercury average points per game: 80.9

The only reasons I can find as a downside to this bet is Pheonix's average is one of the highest in the WNBA and Tulsa have only 3 wins this season, if Pheonix come out firing they could score a lot more than their average. But with that being said if Tulsa dont score all that much, Pheonix need to score a lot to reach the target.

Some days the games some how become high scoring affairs, but most dont.
With the averages equalling 149.2 per game between these two, and the score line needing to reach 175, these teams need to score 87.5 points each, possibly achievable by the Mercury, but not from Tulsa.

Best bet Tuesday: PM vs TS under 174.5 @ 1.95 on sportingbet
                                                       175.5 @ 1.87 on TAB
                                                        174.5@ 1.91 on Sportsbet

Best bets Friday!

Tonight has a lot of close games, however there are also over-valued games in the mix.

The best value bet I can find tonight is in the NRL. The Melbourne Storm($2.42) travel to take on Manly($1.57) in a top of the table clash. Starting 5 pm WST live on fox.

The reason this game has value is that these two teams always have close matches, sportingbet have predicted Manly by 4 points, a single unconverted try.

Melbourne are on top of the NRL ladder with 19-3 compared to Manly's 2nd placed 17-5. Manly also just narrowly escaped a shock loss to parramatta (the bottom placed team with only 5 wins this season) in round 23.

The reason the bookmakers have Manly at such a short price is that they are playing to be unbeaten at home for the entire season, but I personally think that justs adds pressure to the side.

Its anyones game, but I think Melbourne will need to score the first try to win it.

Sportingbet.com have the best odds at 2.42, TAB has Melbourne at 2.25.

Best bet: Melbourne Storm

Another bet worth taking a look at is Collingwood and Fremantle.Starts 6.40 WST.

Any Fremantle supporter remembers that horrible day a few seasons back where Freo failed to kick a single goal, I think this might be one of those days. With outs such as Pavlich, Grover, Mundy, Ballantyne and Mcphee, the team is in huge trouble. Considering with an even better Fremantle team last week they went down to the Roos by 98 points, imagine what Collingwood(with the in's they have) will do to this weeks team..
Some may argue that being at Paterson's will help Fremantle, but realistically, a bigger ground will only benefit the fitter, faster and stronger team on any day.

Best Bet: Collingwood -73.5 ($2.00)

Best bet Thursday!

The best bet for today is the Oakland Athletics($2.78) against the New York Yankees($1.48) in Major League Baseball. Starting 1 am WST.

I've gone even rougher again for today's best bet, it may look like a long shot but there is definately value in the Athletics to take the win.

Firstly, these two teams played yesterday in New York and Oakland came out with a 6-4 win. Also, Oaklands named pitcher is Rich Harden(Rank 16) who's game record is 4 wins 2 losses, against the Yankee's Phil Hughes(Rank 20) with a 4-4 record. A better form pitcher can make all the difference no matter where the game is played.

Sportingbet.com.au have odds on that the Yankees will win by 1 run, which is only a hit difference, which is strange to see when they've valued the underdog at $2.78. I think the Yankees are constantly under-valued because of the franchise's popularity worldwide, not because the actual skill of the team. Yes they should win this game, but at $2.78 the Athletics are great value.

Lastly this game is one of the odd games that are played at mid-day rather than in the evening, teams dont usually play at this time, which may not mean all that much but in my opinion should definitely shorten the margins of the two teams.

Rough choice but great value.
This one will come down to who the better morning persons are.

Thursday best bet: Oakland Athletics

Another game I dont mind the look of is in the Europa League. The BSC Young Boys have been one of Switzerland's best football teams for years and they face Braga(portugese). Young boys are @2.15 for the win. Have a look. Starts 1.30am WST

Wednesday's best bet!

Not much on offer mid-week, but I have managed to find some value in Japanese Baseball.

Tonight at 5pm WST  the Rakuten Gold Eagles($2.35) visit the Nippon Ham Fighters($1.60).

The Ham Fighters are solid favourites here but I dont think the win will be as easy as the bookmakers suggest. The Eagles have won their last 3 matches, beating the top team 2:1 and 7:2 the following day, and then defeating the Hams at home yesterday 6:2.

The only difference from the Eagles win over the Fighters yesterday is that they will play away, yes thats a huge factor in baseball, but I think its made the bookmakers over-value the Gold Eagles here. Will be a close one.

Best bet:  Rakuten Gold Eagles @ 2.35      Confidence: 6/10

Tuesday Best Bet! Tennis

I believe the best bet for today is the ATP Winston Salem match between Tobias Kamke and Juan Monaco.(Starting at 3am EST)

The current odds on Sportingbet Australia is Kamke @ 2.05 and Monaco @ 1.75, a close match according to bookmakers.

However I think world number 36, Monaco will be too strong for Kamke who is ranked 92,  he has had a stronger season and is far more experienced.

Even though these players are a similar age Monaco has 3 titles to Kamkes 0,Monaco has played 370 proffessional matches to Kamke's 45.

$1.75 is great value for Monaco to win.

Pick of the week!

This weeks "Pick of the week" is Sydney vs ST Kilda in the Australian Football League on Sunday.

Confidence: 9/10

Sydney are great value on NSW TAB at $2.40 agaisnt a simillarly postioned team on the AFL ladder. Yes the saints are in good form at the moment but too much is at stake for Sydney to lose at home.

With the new Greater Western Sydney team joining the competition next season, the AFL desperately need Sydney to make the finals. Australian football is slowly falling behind in support in New South Wales as rugby and soccer take the gauntlet.

If interest is lost in the state, GWS will struggle to gather support and be profitable. So I believe there is even a possibilty of foul play behind the scenes of this game. Maybe bribes to umpires or players from the AFL itself to ensure Sydney take this important win and cement a spot in the Finals.
