Betting Monday!

I've selected two bets here that have a good return.
By this I mean, between Mardy Fish and Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, and Miami (FL) and Maryland, these games are a flip of a coin. In both cases this game could go anywhere, either sides have an equal ability to win by a massive margin, or the teams have the ability to bring it down to the wire.

In the ATP U.S open, either Mardy fish or Jo-wilfred Tsonga could win 3-0 or it could come to 3-2, whatever happens there is really no favourite. With that being said, its worth putting your money behind the player with the highest odds.

So far in the US open neither player has lost a single set in 3 games, both are in outstanding form, Fish has just beaten Kevin Andersen 3-0, who is ranked #34 in the world.

Currently Tsonga is ranked #11 in the world and Fish sits above him at #8.

For this one ill let you pick whoever you like, but personally ill take the one that pays more from bookmakers in this 50/50 match.

Best bet: FISH

TAB:        Tsonga@ 1.87              Fish @1.87
CentreBet:          Tsonga @ 1.81            Fish @ 2.00
SportingBet:          Tsonga @ 1.80         Fish @ 1.98

Another game with a bigger margin in the odds is in the NCAA college football.
I dont think this one will turn out to be so much a 50/50 like the tennis, but it is 50/50 in the fact its UNKNOWN who will dominate the play.
One of the reasons I wanted to tip this is because it will be live on ESPN tomorrow morning, so you can get a feel for how these teams will play this season and then judge whether the value is good next time they play.

Last season both Maryland and Miami finished 2nd place in seperate conferences with a 5-3 record (Maryland in the Atlantic, Miami in the Coastal).

Maryland definitely were a stronger team last year overall, they had better passing completion and yardage statistics yet their overall rushing success sits below that of Miami.

That was last season, this game is the first game of the 2011 season and no one really knows how the teams will perform against each other, Maryland looked the better team last year, but a lot can change in that space of time.

I think the reason Maryland are the favourites here is purely based on the fact they are the homeside, a solid advantage in round 1.

All the signs point to Maryland(1.55) but I think Miami are an equal chance, which makes them good value @ 2.47.(Centrebet)
