Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors game 1 preview and pick..
The line is set at 5.5 for the opening game of the series and there's a lot of different opinions about the outcome. Let's not get too excited about this Cavs team. Other than Lebrons dominance and some fancy shooting by J.R Smith here and there they aren't as full bodied as Golden State. They've had a very easy run in the East and beating the Hawks should have been even easier than it was. Brooklyn probably gave the Hawks just as much trouble in some games. Traveling to the bay is going to be by far the hardest task the Cavs have been faced with so far and Golden State will be happy to send a message. It all depends on how Golden State deal with Lebron, tonight will be a good indicator of what to expect from the series..

Game 5 of the Houston v Golden State series gets underway at Oracle arena tonight. The Rockets showed that they aren't going to go down without a fight putting up 128 points over Golden State Monday night. Both teams are going to be tired after a long post season here and generally that's going to favour the team that plays more desperately. The last game woke something up in the Rockets and they will be rolling ready to go. Tonight's prediction is that the Warriors will win, but not blow it out. The 1-10 result is paying a pretty penny..

Golden State have been absolutely dominant this series.. this post season..this season.... Chef Curry is the best player on the planet and impossible to guard. Andrew Bogut seems to be playing out of his skin and running high on confidence at the moment aswell. Paint or perimeter? Golden State don't care they're going to score either way. Houston find themselves in a win or go home situation sitting 0-3 and that might be the catalyst they need to get this one done. We've seen the under/over game total drop from 220 to 218 to 215 now starts at 212.5. Under has been paying out like no ones business off the back of some poor offence from the Rockets, struggling to post 100. I think tonights situation wakes this Rockets team up tonight and while the point spread is a hard pick, the OVER is well overdue and should be easy money!

5/24/15 NBA Best Bet Atlanta Hawks at Cleveland Cavaliers preview, picks and prediction
Analysis and betting pick for Game 3 Atlanta Hawks V Cleveland Cavaliers
The Hawks are in so much trouble it hurts to watch in this one. This season the Hawks outscored their opponents by 60 points with Kyle Korver on the floor, and were outscored by 30 without him. On top of that the only player they have to guard Lebron James seems to be a shadow of himself with that hyperextended knee. On top of THAT, they just lost convincingly on their home court WITHOUT Kyrie Irving even getting dressed for the Cavs. The only way the Cavaliers don't cover this 9 point line is if they leave out Kyrie and play in low gear seeing this series is as good as done. I think the Cavs want nothing more than to sweep the Hawks and get all the rest they can before they face Golden State. Atlanta will need to change their game style without the catch and shoot of Korver. I think this game will come out in a faster pace than usual and expect a big game from Jeff Teague. Not big enough though....

Houston Rockets take on the Golden State Warriors for the first time at home this series tonight..
The Rockets have put up a hell of a contest so far, easily covering the double digit spreads they've been dealt in the first two games of the series. They're 2-0 ATS and this time only slightly out of favor with the bookmakers at +1.5. Although, I'm still liking the look of the Warriors.. This team is a monster and one of the best line-ups the NBA has seen in the past few years. They have shown absolute dominance against the Rockets for periods, then gone cold somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd quarter and failed to make easy buckets. I'm still a big believer that the Warriors are going to start playing in their dominant fashion but avoid the momentary game lapses that have brought these games closer than the handicappers expect. If you watch a lot of NBA you would know if any team deserves your confidence, it's Golden State..

Last time out, Houston came out firing to send a message to the Warriors in game 1. Hitting a lead of 14 in the second quarter, a lot of the handicappers were left scratching their heads. That was until Golden State woke up and became themselves again turning that deficit into an 11 point lead by the start of the fourth.

What would have happened had the Rockets not gained that 14 point cushion?
Can James Harden replicate the dominant performance he pulled out in game 1?
Will the Rockets small line up be able to achieve what they did again?
Even if Dwight Howard does play, will he be himself?
Can the Rockets keep Klay Thompson to 15, and Bogut to 0 and Lee to only 2 points again?
I think a lot of what happened is going to be near impossible for the rockets to replicate and for that reason i'm happy to take the points off the Warriors

Game 1 brings a rested Cleveland Cavaliers to the Atlanta Hawks to get the conference finals underway.
The Atlanta Hawks had a long, demanding series against Washington and honestly didn't look like a number 1 seed at all. Their defense at some points was nothing short of pathetic and struggled to operate any offensive potency. The Cleveland Cavaliers however, have been more convincing as their momentum has continued and continued from only a few months ago when they were a sub 500 team. If the Hawks defense couldn't contain a Wizards offence consisting of a 75 year old Paul Pierce and absent of John Wall, how could they expect to stop Lebron and Kyrie? One of my bets of the week here..

Tonight the Hawks travel to Washington to try and close out the series. The line is at 2.5 favoring the Wizards and if you look at the numbers, this one should be an easy cover. The Wizards have been by far the better team this series and lost the last game off a last minute clutch play by the Hawks all WITHOUT John Wall. The Wizards defense has smothered the Hawks so far and the return of John Wall is only going to make things worse for Atlanta. Confident here.

Back from a short break.
Getting to the business end of the Conference Semis in the NBA. Tonight Houston tries to keep their season alive in a must win game 6 against the Clippers. The Clippers bench got beat up a bit last time out and the starters played as though they were happy to let Houston cruise so they can take them out back at home. That spells danger for the Rockets, but getting 8.5 points against a team that finished as the second seed in the West is crazy. The Rockets were heavily favored to win this series, yet the Clippers turned that on its head quickly. Blake Griffin has been nothing short of dominant and should feature heavily again. The Clippers are likely to get the home win and progress in the West, but the Rockets are the better paper team and have their backs against the wall. This one is a toss up, but you can get 8.5 points for your trouble...

NBA best of the day 30/4/15
The first rounds of the playoffs are getting into the deep end of the series and the Clippers travel San Antonio for a must win game 6.
This series has been somewhat hard to bet on.. The Clippers starting looking good taking out the Spurs on their home court by 9 points, but then lost their following home game. One thing that has been a more reliable trend is the scoring. The last three games have gone to 219, 218 and 219 points.
Expecting this one to follow high scoring trend.

Best bet of the day comes from the NBA today..
The Celtics have been dominated by the Cavs in their series so far and today Cavs step on the court trying to complete the sweep.
At +7.5 points, I'm happy to take the Celtics here. The home team added with the pressure to keep their season going, the Celtics are going to be tenacious. We saw the impact this 3-0 situation carries last night when the Bucks beat the Bulls. Celtics might even win it outright at $3.70

The Warriors are a team that can play anywhere and I don't see the home court being enough to get within 5 of Golden State.During the season, Golden State shot an average 46% away from home and are overall rated the best traveling team statistically in the NBA.
Everyone seems to be getting ahead of themselves when talking about the Pelicans. They have been competitive, but that was when Golden State were just protecting and cruising to the win they knew they would get. Away from home they know they need to earn it, and that will be the catalyst that fires this team up!
They are leaps and bounds a better team, take the away cover..

NBA Best Bet 21/4/15
Game 2 in this series and the high scoring trend should continue.
Game 1 saw the total reach 226 points.
The shooting was at 44% for both teams.
Houston had 45 free throw attempts! But only scored 32 of them.
The mavericks had 99 field goal attempts!
With the intensely fasted paced play of both teams combined with the difficulty of stopping the depth of both sides, this one should find its way over the total again.
The Mavericks are being caught out with the conundrum of whether to stop Harden on the outside or protect the paint from the Dwight.

Loving the fact that this line hasn't changed since game 1. Same handicap, but armed with more knowledge. Didn't the handicappers learn anything from game 1? The Bulls are playing great basketball and are getting the job done on both ends of the court. On top, the Bulls are making a habit of covering the line following a win this season. After watching game 1 how could you expect the outcome to be any different? Keen to let it ride on the Bulls and cash in on the Bookies stubborn spread. On Saturday Butler and Rose looked a million bucks(mind the pun).

Pelicans @ Golden State
The only reason the Pelicans got anywhere close to Golden State in game 1 is because the Warriors jumped into cruise control. Everyone is talking about Anthony Davis being so good he could beat the Warriors himself on his day and how epic his fourth quarter was. In reality, it was pretty clear to see the Warriors lost interest around the time they hit a 25 point lead. Their shooting dropped from over 60% to about 30% and the defense walked back from those rebounds. Klay Thompson missed both free throws at one point!
Lets not confuse the quality of the New Orleans Pelicans against a cruising, "already won the game" Golden State.
In respect to the possibility of the same mentality, get on the half time line and bet on Golden State when they're at their best.

Looks like the night for the Cleveland Indians against the Twins tonight!
Corey Kluber should step up and stop the run of shaky pitching shown by the Tribe in this one.
As for the Twins, they'll be starting Mike Pelfrey, a pitcher you definitely can't trust to keep the bases empty.
Expect an aggressive batting performance from the Indians..

NBA - Bulls at Nets 13/04/15
Bookies have this one as a toss up.
The Chicago Bulls are finding their feet again after the return of Derrick Rose. Rose has been declared fit to play full minutes and is ready to unleash.
Last week, the Nets were absolutely rolling as they pushed for a play-off spot in the East.
But, last night the Nets were utterly woeful and failed to operate a decent offensive effort against the very mediocre Bucks.
Nets coming off a back to back against the rested Bulls, take the insignificant 1 point handicap.
