After grinding out a 1 point win last time around I think Queensland will be ready to go and get a win again in game 2. These games are always tight and low scoring, but at the end of the day the Maroons just have too many play makers to stop. Hard to see any State of Origin team winning by 13+ given the class, so 2.60 for Maroons 1-12 is a great bet!
PICK: Queensland Maroons 1-12 @ 2.60 (+160)

5/19/15 NBA Best Bet and Preview - Houston Rockets at Golden State Game 1 predictions, picks
Game 5 of the Houston v Golden State series gets underway at Oracle arena tonight. The Rockets showed that they aren't going to go down without a fight putting up 128 points over Golden State Monday night. Both teams are going to be tired after a long post season here and generally that's going to favour the team that plays more desperately. The last game woke something up in the Rockets and they will be rolling ready to go. Tonight's prediction is that the Warriors will win, but not blow it out. The 1-10 result is paying a pretty penny..
PICK: Golden State WINS 1-10 @ $2.80(+180)
5/26/15 Game 6 Anaheim Ducks at Chicago Blackhawks prediction, preview and pick
The Chicago Blackhawks will host Anaheim in a must win game 6. Down 3-2 in the series Chicago find themselves in a back against the wall position and potential end to their post season. The Rangers showed us why they are a real contender for the Stanley Cup last night beating Tampa well on their own ice, but I'm not sure the Hawks can get the same job done. We've seen this series become one of the most competitive of all post season match ups and neither team has seemed to have the advantage for long. However, despite the 2 goals in the last 2 minutes that pushed game 5 into overtime, the Hawks look tired. At nice looking odds, I think the Ducks come out firing in this one and jump into the Stanley Cup final with a spring in their step...
PICK: Anaheim Ducks WIN @ 2.32 (+132)

24/5/15 NHL Best Bet Tampa Bay Lightning at New York Rangers predictions, analysis, picks
Game 5 Tampa Bay Lightning at New York Rangers preview and pick.
The first 4 games of this series has seen the puck in the back of the net 28 times in an offensive slaughter. Ben Bishop has been cold as ice (mind the pun) lately, letting 5 goals slip by him in 2 games consecutively. The over has won 3 times on the trot and when something is winning consistently, the key is to just jump on board and enjoy the ride. Even though these games have been high scoring the bookies are still reluctant to shift the total line. Both teams will be talking nothing but defense between games, but both teams have shown they're vulnerable to giving upwards of 6 goals in a game...
PICK: TAMPA BAY/ NY RANGERS OVER 5 @ 1.95(-105)

5/20/15 NBA Best Bet of the Day Cleveland Cavaliers at Atlanta Hawks Game 1 pick, prediction, analysis
Atlanta Hawks vs Cleveland Cavaliers analysis and predictions:
Game 1 brings a rested Cleveland Cavaliers to the Atlanta Hawks to get the conference finals underway.
The Atlanta Hawks had a long, demanding series against Washington and honestly didn't look like a number 1 seed at all. Their defense at some points was nothing short of pathetic and struggled to operate any offensive potency. The Cleveland Cavaliers however, have been more convincing as their momentum has continued and continued from only a few months ago when they were a sub 500 team. If the Hawks defense couldn't contain a Wizards offence consisting of a 75 year old Paul Pierce and absent of John Wall, how could they expect to stop Lebron and Kyrie? One of my bets of the week here..
PICK: CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WIN @ $2.15(+115)

AFL Best Bet 17/5/2015
The last time Port Adelaide faced the Lions, the Power got the job done by 113 points. Since then the story hasn't been any better for Brisbane, only winning one game this season against Carlton. Port will definitely be looking for a top 4 spot and getting a solid percentage boosting win against a probable wooden spoon squad is a must. Expect the Power to dominate on all ends of the field here and get that percentage up where it needs to be..
PICK: Port Adelaide Power 40+ @ 2.50

Best Bet of the Day AFL 16/5/15
AFL
GWS vs Carlton-
GWS are coming off a 10 point win against the reigning premiers and find themselves in a position where finals are a possibility for the first time since their entrance to the AFL. As for Carlton, nothing could be going worse. The blues are off the back of a loss to one of the worst teams in the competition, Brisbane. Not expecting GWS to blow anyone out at this stage but can't see the blues coming out with 4 points in this one!
PICK: GWS (1-39) @ 2.20

NRL Best Bet 25/4/15
The South Sydney Rabbitohs are struggling without Adam Reynolds. They've won 1 of their last 4 without managing any real defensive potency.
Canberra seem to be traveling well at the moment and you can't deny the message they're sending the league.
A 10.5 head start is an absolute gift and whether the Rabbits win or not I can't seem them generating enough offense to blow out the Raiders.
PICK: Canberra Raiders +10.5 @ 1.92

AFL Best Bet Saturday
Jumping on the Anzac clash today in a wet one.
Last nights game saw similar conditions and rain kept the total low as suspected.
Going to jump on that again in this one. As all ANZAC days go, the ball will be hotly contested. Added the rain, there shouldn't be more that 167 points..
PICK: ESSvCOLL Under 197 @ 1.91

NBA Double - Best Bet 22/4/15
Nets @ Hawks
We're going to see the Hawks tighten the screws just a little more in this game and jump into a 2-0 series lead against a Nets team I still don't really believe deserve a play-off spot. The line in this one is probably about right but we can grab a steal on the under/over.
UNDER has been the trend in 4 of Brooklyns last 5
UNDER has also been the trend in 5 of the last 7 Atlanta home games.
While betting can be influenced by spirit, it is ultimately a science and the numbers don't lie.
I can't see these two teams averaging over 50 points a quarter in this one...
PICK: HAWKS/NETS Under 202.5 @ 1.93
Clippers v Spurs
Going to go ahead and jump on another stubborn spread by the bookies as it served us well last time.
The beauty of the playoffs is that game 1 works as a bible when considering betting on game 2. In this case the Spurs visit the Clippers again, and like Sunday, the line is -1.5. However, the Clippers rolled the Spurs and San Antonio had no answer. The absence of Thiago Splitter really hurt their offensive structure and he won't be featuring in this one either.
With the Clippers at home needing to soak up the advantage, look for this game to follow the trend..
PICK: Los Angeles Clippers -1.5 @ 2.00

NBA Player Special Cavs v Celtics 21/4/15
In addition to the best NBA bet of the day, it's worth checking out this player special.
Kyrie Irving is firing on all cylinders at the moment and I can see another big game from him tonight. Coming off the back of a 30 point game where Kyrie shot 21 times and a few at the line, it's obvious hes not low on confidence. He wants the ball and he's not scared to shoot it...
PICK: Kyrie Irving Over 23.5 points @ 1.95

NBA Best Bet 21/4/15
Game 2 in this series and the high scoring trend should continue.
Game 1 saw the total reach 226 points.
The shooting was at 44% for both teams.
Houston had 45 free throw attempts! But only scored 32 of them.
The mavericks had 99 field goal attempts!
With the intensely fasted paced play of both teams combined with the difficulty of stopping the depth of both sides, this one should find its way over the total again.
The Mavericks are being caught out with the conundrum of whether to stop Harden on the outside or protect the paint from the Dwight.
For Houston, there's Dirk.
PICK: Rockets/Mavs Total Over 215 @ 1.93

NBA - Tuesday Double Best 20/4/15
Milwaukee Bucks @ Chicago Bulls -
Loving the fact that this line hasn't changed since game 1. Same handicap, but armed with more knowledge. Didn't the handicappers learn anything from game 1? The Bulls are playing great basketball and are getting the job done on both ends of the court. On top, the Bulls are making a habit of covering the line following a win this season. After watching game 1 how could you expect the outcome to be any different? Keen to let it ride on the Bulls and cash in on the Bookies stubborn spread. On Saturday Butler and Rose looked a million bucks(mind the pun).
PICK: Chicago Bulls -7.5 @ 1.95
Pelicans @ Golden State
The only reason the Pelicans got anywhere close to Golden State in game 1 is because the Warriors jumped into cruise control. Everyone is talking about Anthony Davis being so good he could beat the Warriors himself on his day and how epic his fourth quarter was. In reality, it was pretty clear to see the Warriors lost interest around the time they hit a 25 point lead. Their shooting dropped from over 60% to about 30% and the defense walked back from those rebounds. Klay Thompson missed both free throws at one point!
Lets not confuse the quality of the New Orleans Pelicans against a cruising, "already won the game" Golden State.
In respect to the possibility of the same mentality, get on the half time line and bet on Golden State when they're at their best.
PICK: Golden State Half-time -7.5 @ 1.91

AFL Best Bet Sunday 18/04/15
The bookies are offering a whopping 54 point head start for the Bulldogs against Hawthorn today.
Hawthorn enter this one off the back of a substandard performance that saw them lose to the Bombers last week. The Hawks failed to find the midfield to forward transition in round 2 but will hope to correct that with the return of Sam Mitchell and Gibbo from injury.
In contrast, the Bulldogs have got off to a flyer at 2-0. Including the defeat of a Richmond side that were impressive yesterday. The successful start to the season can mostly be credited to the new fast paced, attacking style of football played by the Bulldogs under coach Luke Beveridge.
Yes, this one is in Launceston and that always spells trouble, but I'm keen on the Dogs keeping this one close..
PICK: Western Bulldogs +54 points @ 1.93
