State Of Origin Preview - Queensland v NSW Game 2
After grinding out a 1 point win last time around I think Queensland will be ready to go and get a win again in game 2. These games are always tight and low scoring, but at the end of the day the Maroons just have too many play makers to stop. Hard to see any State of Origin team winning by 13+ given the class, so 2.60 for Maroons 1-12 is a great bet!

Following that pattern would suggest that the number 1 seeded Anaheim Ducks win tonight. But, I think neither of these teams are prepared to give an inch and this one could go either way. The Red Sox are quickly becoming one of those teams that if you fade them enough you're going to make money. They've spent a lot of their cash in the wrong ways and lost a lot in the Hanley Ramirez money pit.The Rangers on the other hand have been red hot as of late and even with a poor home record so far this season should be able to get over the top of an average Red Sox team with Martinez pitching against Rodrigue. 5/24/15 NBA Best Bet Atlanta Hawks at Cleveland Cavaliers preview, picks and prediction
Analysis and betting pick for Game 3 Atlanta Hawks V Cleveland Cavaliers
The Hawks are in so much trouble it hurts to watch in this one. This season the Hawks outscored their opponents by 60 points with Kyle Korver on the floor, and were outscored by 30 without him. On top of that the only player they have to guard Lebron James seems to be a shadow of himself with that hyperextended knee. On top of THAT, they just lost convincingly on their home court WITHOUT Kyrie Irving even getting dressed for the Cavs. The only way the Cavaliers don't cover this 9 point line is if they leave out Kyrie and play in low gear seeing this series is as good as done. I think the Cavs want nothing more than to sweep the Hawks and get all the rest they can before they face Golden State. Atlanta will need to change their game style without the catch and shoot of Korver. I think this game will come out in a faster pace than usual and expect a big game from Jeff Teague. Not big enough though....

Even though these games have been high scoring the bookies are still reluctant to shift the total line. I don't really have a lot of time for the Boston Red Sox team. They've spent a lot of their cash in the wrong ways and lost a lot in the Hanley Ramirez money pit. The Angels got over the top of the Red Sox last night in a convincing fashion (12-5) and I don't see it going any other way in this one. The Angels love to bat against a knuckleball pitcher and Wright should be getting hit tonight. In contrast, the Red Sox are notorious for struggling against a left handed pitcher. Of course, Mike Napoli is probably going to give the Sox a chance, but Los Angeles are just the better team at a nice price..

The games between these two have always been expected to include goals and a lot of them. Aside from a mediocre offensive showing which saw the Rangers win 2-1 in game 1. Game 2 and 3 had 8 and 11 goals respectively. The line is still sitting at over/under 5 goals and I think you'd be crazy to not continue riding that streak. Both teams are scoring regularly and a tight series always offers the chance of overtime or a sneaky open net goal.

Game 1 brings a rested Cleveland Cavaliers to the Atlanta Hawks to get the conference finals underway.
The Atlanta Hawks had a long, demanding series against Washington and honestly didn't look like a number 1 seed at all. Their defense at some points was nothing short of pathetic and struggled to operate any offensive potency. The Cleveland Cavaliers however, have been more convincing as their momentum has continued and continued from only a few months ago when they were a sub 500 team. If the Hawks defense couldn't contain a Wizards offence consisting of a 75 year old Paul Pierce and absent of John Wall, how could they expect to stop Lebron and Kyrie? One of my bets of the week here..

Game 1 of the Houston v Golden State series gets underway at Oracle arena tonight. The Rockets enter this one of a long and tough series comeback and traveling to Golden State is only going to make things tougher. The Rockets lost all 4 games at the Warriors this season by an average of over 15 points. So of course the best bet would be to take the 10.5 from the Warriors right? I don't think so. I think the bookies are looking at Houston's series against the Clippers as tiring and demanding. In reality, the last series woke something up in the Rockets and they will be rolling ready to go. Tonight's prediction is that the Warriors will win, but not blow it out. The 1-10 result is paying a pretty penny..

Back from a short break.
Getting to the business end of the Conference Semis in the NBA. Tonight Houston tries to keep their season alive in a must win game 6 against the Clippers. The Clippers bench got beat up a bit last time out and the starters played as though they were happy to let Houston cruise so they can take them out back at home. That spells danger for the Rockets, but getting 8.5 points against a team that finished as the second seed in the West is crazy. The Rockets were heavily favored to win this series, yet the Clippers turned that on its head quickly. Blake Griffin has been nothing short of dominant and should feature heavily again. The Clippers are likely to get the home win and progress in the West, but the Rockets are the better paper team and have their backs against the wall. NBA best of the day 30/4/15
The first rounds of the playoffs are getting into the deep end of the series and the Clippers travel San Antonio for a must win game 6.
This series has been somewhat hard to bet on.. The Clippers starting looking good taking out the Spurs on their home court by 9 points, but then lost their following home game. One thing that has been a more reliable trend is the scoring. The last three games have gone to 219, 218 and 219 points.
Expecting this one to follow high scoring trend.

The Mets are $2.32 to beat the Yankees today in what looks a coin toss of a game. I really think the Mets are the better team and so far are proving it with their 14-4 record. Coming up against the 10-8 Yankees, you have to love getting more that 2 to 1 in this one.

At +7.5 points, I'm happy to take the Celtics here. The home team added with the pressure to keep their season going, the Celtics are going to be tenacious. We saw the impact this 3-0 situation carries last night when the Bucks beat the Bulls. Celtics might even win it outright at $3.70

Tonight the venues change and 3 win-less teams get their chance to snatch a home court win.
For the Pelicans, they come up against a side that finished the regular season 67-15. The Warriors are a team that can play anywhere and I don't see the home court being enough to get within 5 of Golden State.During the season, Golden State shot an average 46% away from home and are overall rated the best traveling team statistically in the NBA.
Everyone seems to be getting ahead of themselves when talking about the Pelicans. They have been competitive, but that was when Golden State were just protecting and cruising to the win they knew they would get. Away from home they know they need to earn it, and that will be the catalyst that fires this team up!
They are leaps and bounds a better team, take the away cover..

Huge pitching mismatch in this one that makes it very appealing for bettors.
Houston start this one as the underdog at 1.97 and with Collin McHugh pitching, I'll happily take those odds.
McHugh is 7-0 from his last 7 starts and owns a small 1.54 ERA from his 2 starts this season. His opposing pitcher will be Taijuan Walker, who is 1-5 in his last 6 and.... wait for it..... has a 17.21 ERA (Thanks to allowing 15 runs in 7 innings last start.)
Unless something changes overnight, how could you have the Astros star pitcher an underdog against Walker. Take the over quoted price on this and run...
